Alberta Extends Remote Signing and Witnessing for Wills

The Ministerial Order 47/2020 [Justice and Solicitor General] is effective August 15, 2020 up to and including August 15, 2022.

This order means that the temporary measures brought in earlier this year for Wills can continue to be remotely signed and witnessed for the next 2 years in Alberta. The measures are outlined in Alberta’s Bill 24.
