Ontario rolls back Statement 9185 requirement

In a letter dated February 7, 2018, sent to the Federation of Ontario Law Associations (FOLA), Ontario's Ministry of Finance has stated they will no longer require the completion of Statement 9185 as part of the electronic registration process.

The Ministry will work with Teranet to remove this statement from Teraview. They are also preparing guidelines for compliance with the record keeping requirements set out in the Land Transfer Act.
