New Credit Card Features Coming to Teranet Manitoba

With cyber security top of mind this week, Teranet Manitoba announced the implementation of additional Moneris credit card security features in their Title Check and Personal Property Registry applications.

These improved security measures will provide Manitoba lawyers (using their services) with improved security and prevent unauthorized usage of credit cards.

The changes will require anyone using VISA or MasterCard as payment options to enter the following:

  • Name of the cardholder;

  • Credit card number;

  • Expiry date; and

  • CVV number.

After the above information is entered, if the credit card issuer requires Verified by VISA or MasterCard SecureCode security, the site will redirect to the appropriate secure site to enter the additional confirmations.
