Manitoba: Remote Witnessing of Homestead documents

The Law Society of Manitoba released a new order that temporarily amends in-person witnessing of homestead consents and releases.

The order outlines all the steps required for executing homestead consents and releases. The process and requirements are consistent with the Directive from the Registrar-General of Manitoba. The only difference from April to May is that all forms under The Homesteads Act can be remotely witnessed if Form 32 is submitted with the remotely witnessed document(s).
