Alberta: New and Revised Remote Signing Documents in RealtiWeb
Remote Signing Logic in Documents
With the announcement that registration of Land Titles documents that have been witnessed via video conference is now acceptable, and the Law Society of Alberta guidance, we have added the following logic to our documents.
When you initiate a remote signing portal on a file, RealtiWeb automatically enables the Remote Signing checkbox in Document Control.
This adds appropriate remote witnessing wording to Affidavits and Declarations as prescribed by Service Alberta.
The following registration documents have been updated to include this logic and wording:
Transfer of Land
Transfer of Land - Refinance
Transfer Back
Mortgage Form Affidavits
