BC: New Remote Signing Documents in RealtiWeb

In accordance with the Land Title and Survey Authority of British Columbia’s Practice Bulletin No. 01-20, we’ve made the following additions and amendments to our documents.

Affidavits of Execution under section 49

To follow the guidance from LTSA as outlined in the Remote Signing Protocol we’ve added two new Affidavits of Execution to RealtiWeb. Each affidavit is available in two versions. One where the deponent is in the physical presence of the lawyer or notary. Use the second version, denoted with (Remote) in the document name when the deponent is not physically present.

Use this document if you need a blank affidavit in which you can complete your own details. It automatically incorporates remote signing language into the jurat once you have activated the Remote Signing Portal.

Video Conference Consent

Merge this document and have it signed by each client to obtain the client’s written consent to proceed with the transaction by video conference and to have the meeting recorded.
